A young person is kneeling on the ground, holding a homemade water rocket attached to a pump. There are several onlookers, including children, watching the activity in a park setting.

Enhancing PWS Affordability

Tuition Assistance and Scholarships

We know that choosing an independent school for your child’s education is a thoughtful, family decision that requires a considerable financial investment year-over-year.  At Pasadena Waldorf School, we cherish every student and family that makes the choice to receive their education with us. With the establishment of the high school in 2012, we are proud to offer a Waldorf education from early childhood to high school that has delivered creative, compassionate, and thoughtful human beings into colleges, universities, and industries around the world.

We are committed to making a PWS education as affordable as possible for our families throughout their journey. Furthermore, we strive to attract students from diverse backgrounds at a wide variety of household income levels. To that end, we offer Tuition Assistance (TA) and three Scholarship opportunities for eligible students and new applicants. Through these offerings, PWS provides financial support to a third of our students. We invite families to explore options for affording PWS.

Tuition Assistance

Tuition Assistance (TA) is available to families of accepted students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. Tuition requires a significant commitment from all parents and sustains PWS curriculum and programs. All families are respected and appreciated for their contributions to PWS.

TA is needs-based, and PWS uses School and Student Services (SSS) to fairly and equitably determine how much a family can afford toward tuition. TA applies to tuition only and does not apply to the application fee ($100), the enrollment fee, musical instrument rental (grades 3 and above), after-school sports fee (grades 6-12), field trips not covered by class budget, After School Care, After School Programs, and PWS Camps. To provide TA to as many returning and new families as possible, PWS limits TA amounts to 50% of the student’s tuition for those who qualify.
