Awards

At each commencement ceremony, Pasadena Waldorf School honors the dedicated individuals and organizations that shape our community and support our students through two signature awards:

Paul Livadary Award

Named after one of PWS’s key founders and selected by the College of Teachers, this award recognizes individuals or groups who have played a vital role in the growth and development of the school.

The Michael Award

Conferred directly by the graduating senior class, this honor recognizes the individuals and organizations whose extraordinary contributions deeply enriched the student experience and helped define the graduating class’s journey. Michaelmas is celebrated in the Waldorf community to celebrate the archangel Michael. Michaelmas is a festival of inner strength and initiative, where Michael offers four gifts to mankind: strength, courage, the will to do deeds, and love. The senior class chooses the organization they feel has given the four gifts of Michael to the community.
