How we’re a different school of thought.

A Pasadena Waldorf School education enhances and enriches learning through the integration of the arts into all academic disciplines. The result is experiential, academically vigorous, and has been inspiring students to reach their full potential as life-long learners for over 100 years.

We’re on a mission.

PWS is a community where students can find a passion for learning, be curious about the world around them, and discover their purpose in it. Our vigorous academic curriculum engages the whole human being, delivered in a setting that fosters self-awareness, social connection, responsibility, and action.

Our Location has changed.
Our commitment to an extraordinary education hasn't.

Our K-8 campus and Altadena neighborhood were deeply impacted by the unprecedented Eaton fire. As we prepare for our return to the Mendocino campus and assess the future of the Mariposa campus, we have secured two excellent locations. For the 2025-26 school year, Preschool and Parent-Child Programs return to Montrose, where children enjoy spacious indoor play areas and a large, shady outdoor yard. Our K-12 grades are conveniently located in Eagle Rock, on a campus featuring 18 classrooms, offices, a kitchen, a stage, and a performance hall, which amply support our daily educational activities. We will continue to connect with nature through trips, gardening, time in the park, and the creative and inspired use of the interior campus and surrounding areas. Our school community’s resilience is yet one more example of what we mean by a different school of thought.

WHY PWS IS UNIQUE

How Pasadena Waldorf students stand out in college admissions.

In an increasingly competitive college admissions process, grades and test scores are no longer the final deciding factors for students to be accepted into the colleges of their choice.
