Yoëlle Carter Martínez was born and raised in Spain. She has a BA and an MA in archaeology from the University of Southampton, UK. As an archeologist, she traveled extensively through South America and was interested in finding ways of presenting archaeology to children. Searching for a school for her daughter she discovered Waldorf Education and her true vocation. A year later she started studying Waldorf Pedagogy in Madrid and working as an after-school assistant at Escuela Waldorf Alicante. She has been a Waldorf teacher for 12 years. She taught English as a foreign language and took a class through second grade in La Marina Waldorf (Benidorm-Spain) before taking the Lower & Middle School Spanish teacher position at Pasadena Waldorf School.
