Grade 6 Class Teacher
While working on her teaching credential at California State University, Northridge in 1989, Wendy discovered a deep connection with Waldorf Education. In addition to its pedagogy, she found that the PWS campus, faculty, staff, and community made her feel as if she had arrived home.
After a brief time working as kindergarten assistant, she and her husband soon enrolled their young daughter. Also wanting this education for herself, simultaneously, she began her studies at the Waldorf Institute of Southern California and earned her teaching certification. Wendy has been an active member of the community ever since.
While helping to establish the school store, initiating PWS’ doll making culture, coordinating festivals, participating in class and school activities as a room parent, parent council representative and member of the Board of Trustees, and seeing all three of her children enrolled, she was inspired to return to the classroom. With 18 years of teaching experience here at PWS, Wendy is currently completing her second journey of the grades as the eighth grade class teacher with the Class of 2023.
