Jeffrey Bernstein

Interim Eurythmy Foundation Teacher

Location: Mariposa Campus

Mr. Bernstein has been a parent at PWS since 2004 and pianist for eurythmy classes and chorus since 2012, and this year he is thrilled to take on the role of interim subject teacher. “Being at PWS is a complete joy for me. I love this community, this place, this work, all these dear children, and anthroposophy itself, which is a powerful force in my life.”

A composer and conductor, Jeff is artistic and executive director of the Pasadena Master Chorale, which he founded in 2008. He is also artistic director of the Los Angeles Daiku. From 1997 to 2008 he was director of choral music at Occidental College. He has released four albums of original piano music, and his composition “The Human Journey”, an anthroposophical statement of faith, was awarded second place in the American Prize competition in 2015.

Jeff grew up in Vermont and holds degrees in music from Harvard, Yale and UCLA.
