The Transformation of the PWS Mendocino Garden

In early 2016, the 5,000 square ft. piece of land in front of Pasadena Waldorf School’s High School building on Mendocino Street in Altadena was an unforgiving patch of weeds and lifeless soil. Thanks to the expertise and tireless work of PWS garden teacher Walker Rollins, with the outstanding support of students, parents, local gardening experts, neighbors, and community partners Whole Foods Market, the garden today is a hub of learning, beauty, nourishment and life.
