Sue Ingles

High School Anatomy and Physiology Teacher

Dr. Ingles competed her doctorate in Biostatistics at UCLA, with concentrations in Epidemiology and Molecular Genetics. She also holds bachelor degrees in Chemistry and in Clinical Laboratory Science and a masters degree in Biology. She worked as a research statistician and as a clinical laboratory scientist before joining the faculty of USC, where she has taught for more than 20 years. She has published more than 135 peer-reviewed scientific papers, focusing on the genetic and environmental causes of cancer and other diseases. After encountering Waldorf education as a parent, she enrolled in the High School Teacher Training Program at Rudolf Steiner College in Sacramento and completed her certification in 2017. She is also, when not doing science, an obsessive knitter and a dance enthusiast.
