Virginia Vincent-Orth

Parent Child Class Assistant

Location: Mariposa Campus

A French native, Virginia has been in California for over 20 years. She grew up in France, Brazil, and Florida. After studying Art History and Photography at the Sorbonne in Paris, she moved to Los Angeles just a few days before the Northridge earthquake. Unshaken, she stayed.

After a career as a photo editor and art director in magazine publishing and as a producer of commercial photo shoots, Virginia's life changed when she became a mother in 2006. She returned to school to study Early Childhood Education, working at various Los Angeles preschools, completed her RIE foundation courses, along with a two-year RIE internship.

Mrs V, as she is known on campus, discovered Waldorf Education by watching her friends’ children move through the grades. She was entranced by this holistic and unique approach so different from the rigid French education that she had experienced as a child. Mrs V worked as a Kindergarten substitute and later led the Aftercare Program at Ocean Charter School in Mar Vista.

Mrs V is starting her fifth year at PWS as an assistant in the Parent Child program. She loves to share the peaceful and nourishing environment of the Sweet Pea classroom with the new families and provide them with a loving and healthy first school experience.
