Cheryl Otte

Middle School Assistant

Location: Mariposa Campus

Cheryl Otte grew up in Southern California and knew from an early age that she wanted to teach. She began her college education as an exchange student in Chile, learning to speak Spanish. Returning home, Cheryl taught English as a Second Language (ESL) and later, Spanish at a K-12 school. Simultaneously, she pursued her studies in Early Childhood Development at California State University, Los Angeles, where she later received her BA.

Cheryl discovered Pasadena Waldorf School while researching schools for her three children. She and her husband were taken by PWS and its rich, all-inclusive curriculum, extensive education, experienced teachers and, of course, its natural beauty. Their eldest started kindergarten that Fall in 1994. Ever since, Cheryl has enjoyed helping students at PWS to learn and grow, first as a parent-volunteer until the year 2000, and now as a teaching assistant.
