Michaela Keating

Strings Orchestra Teacher, Director of Operations

Location: Mariposa Campus

For 20 years, Ms. Keating has had the privilege of watching children grow and learn in this educational environment as the Lower and Middle School Strings Orchestra Teacher. In addition to teaching, she has also been the school's Operations Coordinator for 11 years, responsible for the sustainment and growth of the school's two beautiful campuses situated on 9 acres. Ms. Keating feels very fortunate to be in this unique role as a part of both the administrative and teaching sides of the school, and loves being able to work alongside deeply knowledgeable and committed colleagues.

A native of Olympia, Washington, Ms. Keating traveled to the east coast to receive her B.A. at Skidmore College before coming back west and settling in Los Angeles. Prior to joining PWS, she worked as a professional violinist, private violin teacher, and spent several years in pension fund management. In her spare time, Ms. Keating enjoys spending time with family, playing and supporting music, and rooting for the Dodgers and her kids' water polo teams.
