Pasadena Waldorf School is pleased to host Grades and Early Childhood Summer Camps at our Mendocino Street campus located at 536 E. Mendocino Street in Altadena. See program descriptions and event registration below.

Grades Camp ($370 per week), 8:30 am – 3:30 pm each day

Students currently enrolled at PWS and students from other schools who are enrolled in grades 2-8 for the 2017-18 school year are invited to join us for a summer of fun and social activity on our Mendocino Street campus. Using the art studio, lawn, sports court and gardens, students will engage in a mix of indoor and outdoor activities including art activities, gardening, drama, woodwork, play and circus for five full days of fun each week!

For students not currently enrolled at PWS, click here to download required forms. All forms must be filled out completely and submitted no later than the start of the child’s first day of camp (email in advance to esemin@pasadenawaldorf.org or bring to first day of camp). All families are encouraged to become familiar with the PWS Summer Camp Policy, which can be found here.

June 12-16 – Gardening:  Run by Walker Rollins, this camp will care for our school garden and engage students in activities that educate, inspire and nourish in the beauty and peace of nature.  Ecology and sustainability, while developing practical skill and a love for the garden are aims of the camp work.

June 19-23 – Woodwork: Creating with wood is hard and rewarding work and students are invited to create both individual and group projects in this week led by Michelle Foxx.  Each student will learn woodworking principles and create their own catapult to take home.

June 26-30 – Art: Meeting and stretching their inner artist, students will work with observation and activity to produce a variety of art during this camp.  Run by Josh Peters, this camp picks up where the successful Winter Break camp left students wanting more.

July 24-28 – Circus and Games: Games and Movement teacher Jennifer Gould will lead the students in a variety of games and circus skills meant to challenge and delight.  Age-appropriate skill building and encouragement will lead to a sharing of the work for parents at the end of the week.

August 14-18 – Gardening:  Run by Walker Rollins, this camp will care for our school garden and engage students in activities that educate, inspire and nourish in the beauty and peace of nature.  Ecology and sustainability, while developing practical skill and a love for the garden are aims of the camp work.
