Changing the World in All the Right Ways…
Pasadena Waldorf School is over 30 years old. The school has been located at 209 East Mariposa St. for almost 25 years. That’s a lot of history and a lot of memories! By our estimates, over 2,000 children received at least part of their education at PWS.
We enjoyed catching up with alumni in the Alumni Cafe at the 26th Annual Elves Faire this year (2011 see photos above). Special thanks to Sue Demanett, whose talk was inspirational – the alumni clearly miss her words of wisdom! Dennis Demanett, Sam Glaze, and Karen Livingston always come to help greet and it’s so fun to watch alumni students and their parents reconnecting with them.
The question of the day was, “What does this education and this school mean to you now?” A big giant thank you goes to John Lichtwardt (parent of an alumna and a current student) who filmed a few of the powerful and astounding answers to that question. We hope to share some of that with you soon.
In the meantime, we’d like to reconnect with more of our alumni, find out what you’re up to, and share your memories and insights about Waldorf education – which is nearly 100 years old – with our greater community.
