Organic and Sustainable Produce,
Delivered Weekly to Pasadena Waldorf School
During the school year, Pasadena Waldorf School partners with the eRoots organization to provide fresh, low-cost organic and sustainable produce to the greater PWS community, including school families and friends, as well as neighbors in our surrounding community.
Orders must be placed by 10:00 a.m. on Mondays during the school year (from September 5, 2012 through June 12, 2013). Boxes are delivered on Thursdays, and are available for pick-up from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Look for the link on the right this fall to begin eating healthier and supporting sustainable solutions.
eRoots is a social enterprise created by Women Organizing Resources Knowledge & Services. Designed to provide direct access and increase quality of health, eRoots is supported by community partners (like PWS) that regularly purchase produce boxes from which a contribution supports education, food access, and job creation programs. It also supports the school’s sustainability programs.
The PWS Green Team, which oversees the Produce Collective, would like to thank the families and friends of the school for making the first year of the Collective such a great success. Since fall 2010, over FOUR TONS of organic fruits and vegetables have been consumed, and over $2,600 were raised for PWS sustainability programs.
