Gifts of Time, Service and Talent

Gifts of time and talent are just as important as financial support! Pasadena Waldorf School is supported by a strong, involved, vibrant, and creative parent body. Each year, thousands of volunteer hours are logged by PWS parents, without which this school would not be the extraordinary place that it is. Many volunteers report that they have experienced deep opportunities for growth, as well as an increased sense of community, through their involvement with this wonderful school.

At PWS, there are opportunities to volunteer in the classroom, to serve on Board committees, or to help with fund raising. Help is needed on field trips, school events, class plays, and in the planning of festivals. The opportunities are abundant and often allow volunteers to express themselves creatively.

Outright Gifts – gifts the School can use right now

As a not-for-profit independent school, Pasadena Waldorf School relies on a combination of both tuition and fund raising to support its everyday operations. Your tax-deductible gifts help provide a rich Waldorf education to each student while keeping tuition increases to a minimum.

Annual Gift donations directly support faculty and students and provide the school with essential dollars necessary for programs and costs not covered by tuition.

Commemorative Gifts are a wonderful way to remember someone special while providing unrestricted support to benefit current and future students.

Matching Gifts increase the size of your gift through the use of corporate matching gift programs. If you work for a company with a matching gift program, we invite you to support PWS by filling out the form available in your company’s personnel office and enclosing it with your gift.

Gifts of Stock enable donors to contribute far more to the school than would otherwise have been possible. Long-term appreciated stock gifts may entitle you to an income tax deduction while allowing you to avoid the capital gains tax that would have applied had you sold the stock. Please consult with your personal financial advisor for details.

Endowed Gifts are truly gifts that keep on giving. Money is permanently invested, with only the interest spent. The capital remains untouched, providing fiscal stability for years to come.

Restricted Gifts are an opportunity to provide funding specifically designated for a particular item or program.
