Inspired Heritage of Gifts and Blessings

When looking at the many blessings PWS has -- from an amazing faculty, to incredibly rich programs, to a beautiful, historical campus -- there is a deep sense of gratitude for the many donors of time and money that made these blessings possible.

Pasadena Waldorf School was founded in 1979 thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Los Angeles attorney Paul Livadary. It was Mr. Livadary’s conviction that Waldorf education represents the richest educational experience available. Operating out of rented church classrooms, the school began its first grade with one strong and guiding teacher and eight students. The school grew rapidly, and through a generous and miraculous gift from Mrs. Paquita Lick Machris, the school bought the William A. Scripps family estate in Altadena. Today, Pasadena Waldorf School has grown to serve over 200 students and has begun plans to open the Pasadena Waldorf High School in 2012.

Giving to PWS allows our community to feel a true sense of stewardship and ownership of this school and all that it offers to students and families. Each gift that is given lives long into the future.
