Campaign for PWS

Realizing the Vision

The Campaign for Pasadena Waldorf School

After 30 years, PWS has grown into a strong, vibrant community with an average enrollment of 238 students, a parent-toddler program, preschool, two kindergartens, and eight grades.  The School continues to provide a full program and maintain a healthy, balanced budget through the current economic climate. Thanks to the generosity of countless parents, faculty, staff, and friends who have provided resources since 1979, the children who attend PWS have a chance to experience this extraordinary education today.   Now is the time for our community to pick up the torch and light the way to the future by strengthening and completing what we started.

On the recommendation of the College of Teachers, our Board of Trustees unanimously voted to launch the first 9th grade class of Pasadena Waldorf High School in the fall of 2012.  Our entire community has embraced the goal of completing our school as we have always intended.  Our Board of Trustees has taken the first steps toward the development of our site, retaining an architectural firm to complete a Master Site Plan.  The planning process will be ongoing for the next two to three years.    After conducting a feasibility study, the College of Teachers and Board of Trustees unanimously agreed to launch the first Capital Campaign in the history of Pasadena Waldorf School.  We are currently in the “quiet” phase of our campaign, meeting with leadership groups and major donors with the goal of launching the public phase of the campaign in the spring of 2012.

During the feasibility study, our Case for Support received nearly unanimous support from our community.  To read it, click the link to the right.
