Tuition Assistance Policy
The goal of the tuition assistance program at Pasadena Waldorf School is to make a Waldorf education available to as many families as possible who would otherwise be unable to afford it.
Each year, the School sets aside a percentage of estimated gross tuition revenues for tuition assistance. The School’s Tuition Assistance Committee, a confidential committee composed of members from the faculty, Board of Trustees, and parent body, awards assistance based on an assessment of need and other factors. In keeping with a philosophy of responsibility for self, and to enable us to benefit as many families as possible with our limited resources, the Committee, with rare exception, limits assistance to a maximum of 50 percent of tuition.
Tuition assistance application information and amounts awarded are kept strictly confidential by the School, and recipients are asked to honor this confidentiality.
This Tuition Assistance Policy was approved by the Board of Trustees in December 1996.
